The return of Nightline!

Following a slightly patchy coverage last semester, we are delighted to announce that Nightline will be back with you all very soon!

With our service opening again on Monday the 2nd of October, we just wanted to remind you that volunteering with Nightline is also an option. If you’re at all interested, there’s still time to get in touch with us before we do our first training session at the end of September. Instant Messenger Connectivity Issues – 17th February 2015

We have recently received reports of callers being unable to connect to the chat, and the connection “timing out.” Unfortunately, this is an issue that we are aware of, but it does not appear to come from our side of the connection.

If the chat lets you select a username and start a connection, it mights that we are available to chat. If it doesn’t connect the first time, please try again. You can also try refreshing the window, opening a new tab, or trying a different browser. Unfortunately, because the problem is not localised to our service there is nothing we can do to fix this currently.

Nightline does not want people to be turned away from its service due to technical problems. If technical issues persist, please email us at [email protected] and we will respond as soon as possible. Also remember that our phone line is available from 7pm until 7am on 0141 334 9516.

Instant Messenger Technical Difficulties – 13th January

Our Instant Messenger is currently undergoing some technical difficulties. We are aware of the issue that may occur and are trying our best to resolve it as soon as possible. When the IM is not available, please email us on [email protected]ent.net anonymously or call us on 0141 334 9516 to speak to a volunteer. We try to publish alerts when we have difficulties as quickly as possible, and these are available on our Facebook page.

[RESOLVED] Technical Difficulties

As of Friday 5th December, Nightline has been experienced technical difficulties with its IM and telephone service. We would like to apologise to anyone who has been unable to reach us, and bring up our option of emailing us at [email protected] for information and listening support.
