For the first time in a few years Nightline will be open over the exam period! So if you’re having a hard time with revision, or you’re just really stressed and want to have a chat, or you need to know where to find tomorrow’s morning exam, give us a call! We’re here to listen.
Our volunteers are all Glasgow University students and as such have their own exams, so please check our Facebook page for daily updates on our availability to avoid any disappointment.
Following a slightly patchy coverage last semester, we are delighted to announce that Nightline will be back with you all very soon!
With our service opening again on Monday the 2nd of October, we just wanted to remind you that volunteering with Nightline is also an option. If you’re at all interested, there’s still time to get in touch with us before we do our first training session at the end of September. To express interest you can email the SRC at email@example.com
We look forward to hearing from you!
Unfortunately we are unable to open on the evening of 21st March. We apologise for this convenience, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org anonymously and we will respond as soon as we can. You can also contact Samaritans on http://www.samaritans.org/branches/samaritans-glasgow
We have recently received reports of callers being unable to connect to the chat, and the connection “timing out.” Unfortunately, this is an issue that we are aware of, but it does not appear to come from our side of the connection.
If the chat lets you select a username and start a connection, it mights that we are available to chat. If it doesn’t connect the first time, please try again. You can also try refreshing the window, opening a new tab, or trying a different browser. Unfortunately, because the problem is not localised to our service there is nothing we can do to fix this currently.
Nightline does not want people to be turned away from its service due to technical problems. If technical issues persist, please email us at email@example.com and we will respond as soon as possible. Also remember that our phone line is available from 7pm until 7am on 0141 334 9516.
Unfortunately there aren’t volunteers available on the evening of 20th January, however, our email service aims to respond within 48 hours. You can email us anonymously at firstname.lastname@example.org, or contact the Samaritans on http://www.samaritans.org/branches/samaritans-glasgow
Our Instant Messenger is currently undergoing some technical difficulties. We are aware of the issue that may occur and are trying our best to resolve it as soon as possible. When the IM is not available, please email us on email@example.com anonymously or call us on 0141 334 9516 to speak to a volunteer. We try to publish alerts when we have difficulties as quickly as possible, and these are available on our Facebook page.
As of Friday 5th December, Nightline has been experienced technical difficulties with its IM and telephone service. We would like to apologise to anyone who has been unable to reach us, and bring up our option of emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org for information and listening support.
Apologies for the inconvenience, you can contact Glasgow Samaritans for telephone, email, and drop ins.
We update our Facebook page daily, and from there you will be to able to see what services are in operation each night.
GU Nighline is currently undergoing refurbishment and is currently unavailable. Please contact Samaritans here http://www.samaritans.org/how-we-can-help-you/contact-us.
Nightline apologies for the inconvenience caused and hopes to return as soon as possible.
